October 30
My brother said he wanted to see the tiles that I was eyeing so that we can have a better estimate on how many pieces should be purchased. And so off we went back to the tile center on Monday.
We also dropped by a shop that specializes on glasses for quotations on the following: glass top for the dining table, sliding glass door to separate the shower area and toilet in the bathroom as I don’t want to use a shower curtain, glass doors for the bookshelves, and bathroom mirrors. And it’s expensive. Everything is expensive hahahaha! So, I need to prioritize which one to get first. I’m guessing it should be the sliding door hehehe but this is the most expensive of them all nyahahaha!
↑ Quotations for the sliding glass door, glass top, and book shelf door. Parang glass top lang ang mabibili ko for now hahahaha. Yung book shelf kasi, 3 na ganon ang kailangan ko eh wahahahaha. Tapos yung sliding door, ganon din talaga kamahal?! Kaloka! Pero bet ko pa rin hihihi.
Next stop was lunch at Good Taste, as always hehe.
After a super late lunch, my niece and I continued with our canvassing tasks while my brother went to the wet market to buy stuff for November 1.
My niece and I went to a furniture shop to check out customized cushion and seat cover for my simple sofa. They quoted us with almost Php 6K for the materials and service. 6K?!!!! That’s almost as good as buying a new sala set, I think. I just need the damn cushions with removable seat cover so that I can launder it once in a while. Kaloka. I tried to ask a tailoring shop if they sew cushion covers. Yes daw. I just need to provide the cloth. Php 250 per piece for the sewing service eh I only have 2 pieces because the foam I want is a rectangular one, one for the seat and one for the backrest. Hah! So off we went to shops that sell cloth. Average per yard for seat covers is at Php 200.00. Next was to check Uratex foams hehe. After computing, I’ll spend almost Php 6K for a foam, 2 sets of seat cover, and 1 queen size 3-inch Uratex foam that is good for 2 sofas. Ayan, semi-DIY na nga lang hehe. I’ll check Divisoria for the cloth.
This year, I’ll be more generous with my gifts to my young nieces, nephew and grandchildren. I’m getting them several items from their wish list which I asked them to put together. I want them to have at least 3 gifts to open on Christmas hehe. Our family is not really into gift-giving because of budget constraints. But it’s also nice to have them experience it at home once in a while. And so before going home this day, my niece and I went to SM to start scouting for potential gifts. We were able to buy a few items so yey for that. Let me just say that it’s really more challenging to shop for boys than for girls. Or sadyang hirap lang ako dahil sa limited budget ko hahaha!
We went to McDonald’s for dinner and went home after.
October 31
I lazed around the whole morning and then I spent the rest of this day wrapping the gifts that I already bought. I used old newspapers as wrappers tutal pupunitin rin lang naman if bubuksan hehe.
November 1
Undas. We cooked a little and us siblings gathered at our parents’ home for lunch. We also lighted candles, offered prayers and flowers. No cemetery visits for us because as practiced by our elders, our loved ones who passed away are usually buried in our backyards.
For the past days that I went to town, my niece and grandchildren always watched me get ready so they were pestering me to put some make up on them too. I’m not an expert. CC cream, powder, lipstick lang naman. Minsan konting ayos ng kilay pag sinipag. Pero gusto rin daw nila so sige pagbigyan. And pictorial after hehehe.
↑ Niece.
↑ Grandchild 1
↑ Grandchild 2. We were laughing here because I asked her to crisscross her legs and she kept on almost falling hahaha!
↑ Kanya-kanyang posing na gaya-gaya rin hahaha. Same shades used on all 3 because I don’t have a make up collection ya know. Hehe.
↑ The serious nephew. Medyo wala sa mood na dito hahaha!
It was time to go back to Manila in the evening. I requested the BF to meet me at the terminal so we can spend even just an hour or 2 before I leave for Manila. We had dinner at Andoks to kill time.
Weekend
I went to my colleague’s salon for a rebond. To be honest, I already want to stop it but the unruly hair can’t be tamed. Ang hirap ayusin hahaha. So let’s see again after 1.5 years hehe.
I also went to the mall to continue with my shopping. I was able to buy shoes for the nephew. Ang mahal to think na naka-sale sya huhuhu. But that is fine. There may be an event next year where he’ll need leather shoes so at least he’s ready hahaha.
I also dropped by the grocery to replenish the ref.
The end.
And done with my backlog hehe. Have a great week ahead.
