October 9-15, 2017

My work has been more hectic the past week. More projects were added to my plate to oversee. And it has all been issues left and right. It pisses me off most of the time but I know that this too shall pass. But it’s still draining all my energy and skewing my sleep for the past weeks.

Anyway, moving on.

I met with my babies last October 14 for an afternoon of catching up and supporting one of them in her journey to becoming a financial advisor. Babies because I was their big sister when they first entered the work force. One even calls me mama bear haha. We’ve known one another for about 10 years now. While we are all busy with our own lives, we make it a point to at least meet once a year hahaha. We would like it to be more often but our schedules don’t align most of the time. To compensate for that, we have our private FB group chat where we catch up once in a while.

I am proud of what they’ve all become. Each one is writing her own colorful story. And whatever paths we choose for our lives, I know that we’ll be cheering for each other forever.

On Sunday, another friend and I was supposed to join a fun run. However, it was drizzling when we left Pasig, and then the shirts that we signed up for weren’t the ones issued to us. Nagka-ubusan daw. We were disappointed further because prior race day, my friend had a hard time locating the correct place to claim the race kits. All contact numbers weren’t working. All office locations indicated in the website were closed some years ago. Kaloka. It was only when she remembered to email both organizer and sponsor and the sponsor was able to provide claim details. But it was already too late, so the next option was to claim it during race day. But on race day, that’s what happened. So we decided to not just join haha.

We went to look for a breakfast place instead and ate to our hearts’ content hahahaha!

After breakfast, we went to Divisoria where I purchased a Christmas tree and Christmas tree trimmings! I’ll use it for the Baguio home. It’s my first time to put up some Christmas decors after my parents were gone hehehe. And I am excited. I’ll bring home the stuff on my next trip home.

I spent a little over Php 3,000.00 for a 5 feet Christmas tree, ribbons, flowers, leaves, balls and lights. If in the mall, the 3K is not enough hehehe.

Finally, we bought some pears and apples for prices that are way cheaper than the malls. Hay malls haha!
