February 13-19, 2017
Belated Happy Valentine’s Day! How did you celebrate this day? Or are you the type who are not celebrating it since most days should be Valentine’s Day?
The BF and I just sent each other Valentine greetings via text and that was it. No dates, no fancy surprises, no plans of being together this day. We just went on with our day like any ordinary days. And I’m perfectly fine with it. I’d rather have a generally peaceful relationship than being extra/extremely sweet on special occasions but always arguing even on simplest things. But that’s just me.
Weekend
A friend and I were supposed to go out on Saturday to celebrate her birthday (February 19). Unfortunately, she had to rush home to Baguio because her mom was hospitalized. It has something to do with her heart but hopefully it doesn’t develop into something worse.
So I stayed home the whole day and did some cross stitching. My progress is slow but I’m more inspired to continue if I see the design starting to get clearer as I stitch some more hehehe.
I went out at night just to walk a bit. I finally visited Ayala Malls the 30th which is 5 minutes walk away from the apartment. There are still a lot of unopened shops. It’s the restaurants that are open. I saw some that I haven’t eaten yet but looks like these are more expensive so let’s see if my thrifty 2017 self will give in one day hehehe.
On Sunday, I attended the morning mass then met up with my cousin and her family for lunch. She flew to UK to be an OWF as well. She was my roommate for a year in college when I stayed with their family, hence I am close to her and her brothers. She was just in first grade then. Now, she’s an adult. How time flies. Really.
While it would be hard to be away from her family, I’m also excited for her because of this new adventure. She wanted this for so long. I pray that she will be successful in this endeavor, including her plans with her income.
I went with them to the airport to make sure that she gets past immigration without any problems. I’m waiting for her message now to confirm her arrival.
I went home after to what else, cross stitch again hehehe.
Windfall
I qualified for the Uber promo RIDE8TAKE4 so I had a total of Php 400 off in my Uber rides last week hehehe. Thanks, Uber!
The end.
Have a great week ahead.
