October 31 – November 6, 2016

October 31 and November 1 are holidays in the Philippines.

I took a leave on November 2 so that I can stay longer in Baguio.

October 31

We went to visit an aunt who is sick. It’s good to see that while she has to stay in bed most of the time, she still can sit, stand and walk albeit slowly. And she has the determination to get well because she said she still wants to spend more time with her kids and grandchildren. She’s the same aunt we visited last Holy week.

It made me realize that days go by really quickly that with the blink of an eye, you’re already past your prime. So we really need to strive making each day as meaningful and as productive as we can. And this is where I need to improve on. Really.

From there, we went to Starbucks for a belated and advance birthday treat for my nieces.

Kape-kape.

Next generation. Tried the calamansi cheesecake too. I liked it. But then again, it’s cheesecake so….

November 1

We lighted candles for our loved ones. We, siblings, also got together at the ancestral house for lunch. It’s a little different now as compared to the past years where our mother’s siblings usually come to the house to commemorate with us. We’ll try to invite next year.

Aba, aba aba! Marunong nang mag-cheers ang mga batang ito. Just make sure na hindi alak ha. Otherwise, lagot kayo sa akin!

Iiyak na yan, iiyak na yan! Hehehe!

Weekend

I stayed home on Saturday to do some chores and sleep. I also spent some time preparing my budget files for 2017. Too soon? No, since we already have less than 2 months before 2017. Kay bilis bilis bilis lang.

I went to mass on Sunday, spent a few hours at S&R Shaw and then went home early afternoon because we have some work to do. Hay, work. It’s challenging and frustrating lately. I hope we’ll have everything completed by next week.

Anyway, have a great week ahead.
